How to raise dry bread?
(lady.lolas / Instagram)
Who among us does not like fresh and crispy bread?
But what do you do if your bread is no longer so fresh and has dried a little?
Well, it turns out you can "revive" it completely and save a run to the supermarket or bakery to buy a new loaf of bread.
But do not worry - Katie Loulas, an Australian food expert who admires a popular Instagram page, shared an ingenious but simple trick by which she upgraded not particularly fresh bread and made it crispy with a bread-like taste of bread from the bakery.
So what did she do you ask?
Well, first she made it clear that if the bread is already moldy, this trick is irrelevant to it and can (and even should) be thrown in the trash.
But if the bread is just a little dry, Katie has revealed her trick.

The first step you need to take is to moisten the bread, making sure that its hard part is completely covered with water.
Once you have done this, make sure your oven is set at 160 degrees and put the moist bread in the oven for a time of between 6 and 7 minutes.
Katie herself demonstrated this trick and showed the result.
She cut the bread and you can really see how crispy it is on the outside and soft on the center.
The bread becomes really crispy, with the water becoming steamy and softening the dough.
The reactions to this post have been particularly enthusiastic.
Most of Katie's followers wrote that "it looks perfect" - and we get excited too, but what Katie forgot to mention is that this trick is one-off.
Once you do this on a particular piece of bread, you can not revive it this way again.
In any case, in order to keep the bread, it is best to keep it in its original packaging and at room temperature.
While refrigerated storage will prevent it from raising mold, it will also speed up its drying process.
