(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 12 - Foreign Minister Luigi DiMaio, on the occasion of his mission in Africa, visited Somalia.
This is the first mission of an Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs to the country of the Horn of Africa in the last 10 years.
The last visit dates back to 2012, when ex-minister Giulio Terzi went there.
Di Maio in Somalia greeted the Italian Contingent / EUTM-S, met with the representatives of the Italian and Italian-speaking community and was received by the President of the Republic Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
