A group of supremacists wanted to sow panic during a Pride event in Idaho, but was stopped by US police alerted by a "citizen worried by a small army of men who was loading a van."
And right inside a U-haul, agents found and arrested 31 people dressed all alike, with covered faces and riot gear, but also a detailed plan to attack the town of Coeur d'Alene in different areas.
"They came to turn the city upside down," local police chief Lee White said, reporting that officers also found a smoke bomb in the stopped vehicle.
The 31 supremacists came from at least 11 US states and traveled together to unleash terror at LGBTQ + events.
They were arrested thanks to a "phone call from a concerned citizen, who reported about 20 people in a U-Haul van with their faces covered and looking like a small army," White explains.
Some videos published on social media portray the 31 arrested, accused of conspiracy to revolt, kneeling on the ground and with their hands behind their backs.
One of them wore a 'Reclaim America' sweatshirt.
The Patriot Front is a group of neo-Nazi supremacists who are part of the larger American alt-right movement.
It is led by Thomas Ryan Rousseau and was born after the 'Unite the Right' rally in Charlottesville in 2017. The group's manifesto pushes for the formation of a white-only state in the United States.
