Verona: it's official, Cioffi is the new coach

Gabriele Cioffi is the new Verona coach, with whom he has signed a two-year contract, until 30 June 2024. The yellow and blue club announces it.


    Born in Florence on 7 September 1975, after finishing a long career as a football player in July 2012, he began his career as a coach in Lega Pro first in Carpi and then in Gavorrano.

After some training experiences with foreign companies, he trains in Australia at Eastern United and collaborates with Aston Villa, then returns to Italy in November 2015, to take on the leadership of the Berretti team of Südtirol, then he is called as assistant of Henk ten Cate , Al-Jazira technician in Abu Dhabi.


    In December 2016 he was deputy of Gianfranco Zola at Birmingham City in the English Championship.

The following year he moved back to Abu Dhabi, to Al Dhafra, where he achieved his goal of salvation.

In 2018 he became the coach of Crawley Town (English fourth series).


    Finally, in September 2020 Cioffi returns to Italy as Luca Gotti's deputy to Udinese, with whom he reaches the goal of salvation in Serie A 2020/21.

A year later, in December 2021, he takes over from Gotti on the bench and ends the Serie A season by winning the twelfth place in the standings.
