Apparently, neither of them wanted to miss this event: On Wednesday, a property in Kleinmachnow, south of Berlin, was auctioned off at the Potsdam district court under increased security precautions.
And both rapper Bushido and his former business partner Arafat Abou-Chaker were there when the villa ensemble went to the only bidder for 7,401,500 euros.
Court clerk Silke Tischbein awarded the contract to a son of the clan chief Abou-Chaker.
The 21-year-old bidder paid the minimum amount that had to be bid at the first foreclosure date.
According to the district court, the market value of the property was more than 14.8 million euros.
Bushido and his former partner Abou-Chaker followed the events in silence.
The villa ensemble and the plots with a total area of more than 16,600 square meters belonged to Bushido, whose real name is Anis Ferchichi, and his former business partner.
While the latter lives in one of the villas, the musician Bushido never moved in there.
After the end of the cooperation, Bushido had applied for the foreclosure to dissolve the owner company.
After the auction, half of the proceeds go to the former business partners.
If no objection is lodged within the next 14 days, houses and land remain in the clan's possession, along with the debts on the property.
Rapper Kay One testifies in the trial against clan leader
The dispute between the former business partners has also been a subject of criminal proceedings at the Berlin Regional Court since 2020 - with Bushido as a joint plaintiff and witness.
Arafat Abou-Chaker and three brothers of the clan chief are accused.
The charges are deprivation of liberty, attempted aggravated extortion, coercion, dangerous bodily harm, insult and infidelity.
Numerous witnesses have already been heard about the relationship between the former business partners.
On Wednesday, the rapper Kay One should now also be questioned.
The 37-year-old and Bushido had initially celebrated joint successes, followed by a year-long dispute.
One day of the trial was scheduled for questioning Kay One.
For almost two years, Arafat Abou-Chaker has had to answer in court for, among other things, attempted severe extortion, deprivation of liberty and dangerous bodily harm.
After Bushido himself
2017
had renounced Abou-Chaker, the clan chief is said to have threatened him, demanded millions of dollars, locked Bushido in a room on January 18, 2018, insulted him and attacked him with a half-full 0.5-liter plastic water bottle and a chair.
Two brothers - Yasser and Nasser - are said to have been there at the time and supported Arafat Abou-Chaker.
Ultimately, it should have been about money.
That's what the indictment says.
