Following the publications in "Israel Today" and the protest - new details about the condition of cancer patients in Wolfson:
Following the nurses' abandonment this morning (Wednesday) of the Oncology Institute at Wolfson Hospital in Holon, Dr. Ronen Brenner, director of the institute, alerted the director general of the Ministry of Health. Nachman Ash, because "cancer patients are currently waiting to be connected to chemotherapy at the institute's waiting stations and cannot be connected and supervised without the institute's nurses."
As you may recall, the nurses at the Oncology Institute did not come to work because of allegations of unsuccessful employment with the director of the institute, Dr. Ronen Brenner. They did so without any prior notice, which left the patients without any nursing care.
Severe allegations by the director of the oncology department.

Dr. Brenner added that this was an "illegal move.
This is a new record of the illegal actions of Dr. Anat Engel, the hospital's director, who in my opinion is behind the nurses' moves to bring about the closure of the Oncology Institute, parallel actions, dismissal of the institute secretary, actions to close the research unit, defamation letters against the institute director and secretary The institute, the dismissal of professional nurses by the director of nursing and now the creation of a revolt of the remaining nurses.
It should be mentioned that the Oncology Institute under my management, which serves thousands of patients, operated in harmony and grew by 10% each year until I applied for the position of chairman of the committee of doctors, so these operations began. "
Dr. Brenner also warned that all the actions of Dr. Anat Engel and Orna Zvi, the hospital's director of nursing, do not take into account the great damage caused to many cancer patients and any delay in treatment can severely harm patients' health. The Director General of the Ministry of Health has personal responsibility "For the safety of these patients and especially in light of the repeated warnings given to him in the past."
It was recently revealed in "Israel Today" that for more than a year the institute's doctors have been forced to perform chemotherapy treatments on cancer patients in the corridors of the inpatient department.
This continues despite Dr. Brenner's patient complaints and warnings to the hospital's director, Dr. Anat Engel, that "the situation does not exist in other hospitals in Israel, does not meet minimum professional standards and endangers the lives of cancer patients."
Responses from Dr. Engel and Ben Zvi will be submitted when received
