The Ministry of Education has set the annual school fees for private educational institutions for the academic year 2022-2023, after it conducted a study according to the classification specified in four categories and in a way that suits the different educational stages.
The ministry stated, according to a circular to its directorates in the governorates, that SANA received a copy of it, that due to the large number of requests submitted by the owners of private schools and kindergartens for the necessity of setting annual school fees, service fees and additional benefits in line with the economic conditions, especially the increase in fuel prices, salaries and public transport wages, the annual premiums for private schools have been determined. According to the classification specified in four categories and in accordance with the different educational stages.
According to the ministry’s statement, the additional services and benefits for the next academic year are set, assuming that the point value for services is set for the secondary stage at 30 thousand, the second cycle of basic education at 25 thousand, the first at 20 thousand, and kindergartens at 15 thousand, so that the value of services is according to the degree of classification and the number of points owed to each institution.
The ministry stated that the approved transportation fees are determined before the start of registration, and the directorate and parents are duly informed of them, with a commitment not to increase them throughout the academic year, unless decisions are issued to increase fuel prices. Prominent on the institution’s bulletin board, at the risk of taking legal measures against the violator and holding those responsible for its supervision accountable in the event that it is not reported.
