Meatballs and street-food: the trend of summer 2022 connects Milan and Barcelona in the name of a common dish,
the Lombard mondeghili born from the Catalan mandonguilles

They are seen more and more around the Lombard capital, recently also protagonists at the Fuorisalone (excellent interpretation by Mauro Elli, Michelin star of Albavilla, who proposed them with sauteed rice).
But the thermometer of the trends that measure the pulse of summer was precisely in the Iberian city, with the first major festival back in attendance after two years of pandemic: Primavera Sound 2022 anticipated what Milanese gastronomy will experience in the summer, now at doors.
Food and music: the latter sees the return of festivals in attendance, and to open it was the Primavera Sound which in the two non-stop festival weekends, after two years of hiatus, saw the return of dozens of big names.
It is not easy to map the most anticipated, but among them we must certainly include Nick Cave on the main stage of the Parc del Forum, but also the Low who played in a sold-out auditorium and the Nationals with their evergreen pieces.
Milan and Barcelona look alike, careful to catch the news and the wind of international taste first: and the mondeghili / mandonguilles are flanked by ethnic cravings without borders, which pass seamlessly from tacos (representing Mexico and South America) to hamburger more and more careful to indicate the "identity card" of the breed).
The sandwiches also include pulled pork and the veggie segment, in unstoppable growth: so is the long wave of oriental street food, from sushi to cooking with tandoori masala spices.
