What could be nicer in hot weather than a cold drink?
However, it is impractical if nothing is kept cold.
There are quick tricks for this.
Kassel – The sun is shining and the temperatures keep rising: Summer is here and makes many people sweat a lot.
Some people crave a cool drink when the weather is hot.
If in such a case no water, juice, beer or any other drinks are cold, the disappointment is great.
The same happens when you invite acquaintances to dinner and just before that you realize that the drinks have been forgotten.
Luckily, there are a few simple tricks you can use to make a bottle of white wine, for example, cold and ready to drink in less than five minutes.
Many of you are probably familiar with this classic: put the bottle in the freezer so that it cools faster than in the fridge.
While that's true, there's a tip that makes it even faster.
If the bottle is wrapped in a wet cloth, the phase shortens until it is cold, reports the Bayrischer Rundfunk.
The cold, dry air in the freezer draws the water out of the wet towel.
Due to the evaporation process, the bottle cools down within about 15 minutes.
There are simple tricks for cooling drinks quickly.
For example, fill a container with water and ice cubes.

Thirst in hot weather: getting drinks cold in record time
Another trick works according to the same principle, which is great to use if there is no freezer nearby.
Once again, the desired drink is wrapped in a wet towel.
But instead of putting it in the freezer, put it in the sun.
In this case, the process takes a little longer, but after about 30 minutes the drink is cooled down, as reported by the online platform Utopia.
If you are out and about and don't have a towel with you, you can also use a shirt.
Another trick that some of you probably already know is a mixture of ice cubes and water.
Fill a container two-thirds full with ice cubes and the rest with cold water.
The drinks are then placed in there and cool down within about 15 minutes.
If you add table salt, the process speeds up enormously.
After five minutes, the drink is already a real cool down.
However, one should not consume too many ice-cold drinks in summer, drinks at room temperature are often better.
