After being revealed as Margo Ruby in the role of the iconic doll in the highly anticipated live-action film, now comes a first glimpse into the strictly blonde male counterpart • However, the anticipated film is also set to feature alternative nests and barbies

Say yes to Ken:

Warner Bros. Studios has unveiled another photo from the live-action film in question "Barbie", with Margo Ruby in the role of the iconic doll.

This time it's a first glimpse into the character of Ryan Gosling as Ken, Barbie's masculine, muscular and no less blond counterpart, armed with glorified and diced belly cubes, neatly oxidized hair and a rather sleek white smile.

Feel free to stare at the impressive results for yourself.

The film, whose filming was launched last March, will hit screens towards the end of July 2023, after many delays, hardships and changes in the identity of the actors, creators and studios.

Amy Schumer and Van Hathaway were nominated at various stages for the lead role, and production in general began at Sony Studios.

Also, although Ruby and Gosling will appear in the lead roles and play the main Barbie and Ken, it is important to emphasize that in the comedy there will be Barbies and other Ken - and not just blondes, but of all types, sizes, races and genders - who will not necessarily fit the accepted puppet stereotypes.

Although the plot details and inevitable twists are still kept secret, it has been reported that actress Isa Ray ("Unsafe", the network series Awkward Black Girl) will play a dark-skinned Barbie;

Transgender actress Harry Neff ("Transparent") will also play a Barbie doll;

While Simo Liu (Marvel's Shang Chi) and Shoti Getwa ("Sex Education" and soon "Doctor Who") will play nests of Asian and African descent respectively.

Also starring: America Ferrara ("Betty," "Superstore"), Kate McKinnon ("Saturday Night Live") and Michael Serra ("Superbad," "Family in Disorder") in undisclosed roles, and Will Farrell as CEO, not from The wicked abstainer, of a large toy company. The director and screenwriter is Oscar winner Greta Grevig ("Lady Bird," "Little Women"), and the acclaimed filmmaker Noah Baumbach ("Between the Lines," "Marriage Story") also contributed to the plot. Definitely not a production. Plastic.
