Brics leaders and leaders from the main emerging markets and developing countries will participate.
The theme of the 14th Leaders' Summit will focus on promoting the "high-quality BRICS partnership to usher in a new era of global development".
Xi will also participate in the opening ceremony of the BricsBusiness Forum in virtual format on June 22, giving a programmatic speech, Hua added, according to Xinhua.
