A Dutch tourist has also died in a deadly attack on a drug dealer in Colombia.
The woman was sitting in a restaurant in the city of Leticia, near Brazilian drug dealer Celso Caldas de Lima, when he was shot dead by two men, police said on Thursday.
In the incident, the Dutchwoman was injured by shots and later died in hospital.
According to the information, two Brazilians who were sitting at the table with Caldas de Lima were also injured in the incident.
Caldas de Lima was arrested five years ago as part of an anti-drug raid.
He was accused of establishing contacts between the largest Colombian drug cartel, the Clan del Golfo, and the Brazilian cartel La Familia do Norte.
Caldas de Lima was wanted by Interpol for drug trafficking, murder and extortion.
The Colombian police did not say why Caldas de Lima was released.
Numerous drug gangs are active along the 1,600-kilometer border between Colombia and Brazil.
Colombia is the world's largest producer of cocaine exporter.
Fatal shooting in Mexico
It happens time and again that tourists in South and Central America become accidental victims of crime.
A German traveler died in Mexico when she was hit in a shootout between rival drug gangs last October.
A woman from India was also killed during the incident at a bar in the holiday resort of Tulum.
Just a few days later, also in Mexico, tourists were forced to seek shelter on the beach in Cancún when shots were fired between rival groups.
Two people died, but according to the authorities, they were people directly involved in the incident.
