Since April, Jacques and Thomas Dutronc have been traveling the roads of France, Belgium and Switzerland for their tour, Dutronc et Dutronc.
Saturday June 18, the father-son duo was to perform on the stage of Argelès-sur-Mer for the first edition of the Bacchus Festival.
But Thomas Dutronc announced on Sud Radio on June 16 that his father, 79, suffering from Covid, will not be present.

Jacques Dutronc would be affected by a fairly severe form of the coronavirus.
“It's a bad surprise, my father caught the Covid a week ago, it's better,
explains Thomas Dutronc at the microphone of Sud Radio.
He got out of trouble but hey, he got it a little strong all the same.

Jacques Dutronc therefore takes the time to fully recover from his illness before going back on stage.

The Dutronc son took the time to reassure fans by saying that he did not intend to cancel the dates of his tour, despite the absence of the singer of
Et moi, et moi, et moi

“We said to ourselves that we were going to cancel the date but the director of the Festival asked us if we still wanted to play.
We thought because without him, it's not the same.
But we decided to play anyway
,” explained Thomas Dutronc.
The Bacchus Festival concert is therefore maintained and will be the first of the tour where Thomas Dutronc will perform solo.
The 49-year-old singer had meanwhile tested positive for Covid-19 last April.
