December 11, 1930

: Jean-louis Trintignant was born in Piolenc, in a village in Vaucluse.

His father Raoul is a former resistance fighter who distinguished himself in a maquis in Ardèche.

His mother, Céline Tourtin, suffered the horrors of the purge for having tied up an affair with a German soldier during the Occupation.
