Louvre-Lens: the birth of an empire

FOCUS - The Louvre-Lens, backed by the magnificent collection of the Parisian institution, unveils 400 exceptional pieces to retrace the history of Roman civilization.

The Louvre-Lens offers a complete retrospective on Roman civilization, from the Republican era (2nd century BC) to the end of the High Roman Empire (around 300 AD).

A vast period, therefore, beautifully retraced throughout the rooms thanks to the presentation of some 400 works from the fund of the Parisian institution (whose department is being temporarily reorganized), the National Library of France and the Museum of Archeology national of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
