Thursday, June 16.
It is 10:15 p.m. in Plaza de Espana, Seville.
The time is late for a fashion show, but it is when the Andalusian capital begins to vibrate.
And for good reason, the heat is less boring there.
Here, the multitude of horse-drawn carriages, which usually invade the majestic and touristic space, have given way to a mantle of red flowers, made up of half a million roses and carnations as the backdrop for the cruise 2023 parade. by Dior.
This is the first time that the brand has paraded in Spain, and also the first for an international luxury label.

By presenting its Cruise 2023 collection in Seville, it is understood that Maria Grazia Chiuri, artistic director of Dior, is extending the French house's link with Spanish culture forged from the first collections, in the 1950s, by designer Christian Dior.
It will be remembered that certain sketches of her outfits were baptized Nights of Spain (1954), Evening in Toledo (1955) or Ball in Seville (1956).
Likewise, John Galliano, artistic director of Dior for fifteen years, was inspired by his Spanish origins for a long time in his creations.
