Just jump into the supermarket and tie the dog in front of it.
Not a good idea – that's why there was a police operation in Kiel.
Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein) – First walking the dog and then going shopping – many a dog owner would like to kill two birds with one stone and simply combine both.
It's actually quite practical and too tempting in some situations, if you can quickly dash to the supermarket on the way back from the walk.
But the four-legged friends are not always allowed in and are tied up in front of them.

However, this is not a good idea at all - because a four-legged friend left alone can quickly become the victim of thieves.
The kidnapping of a small terrier recently triggered a police operation in Schleswig-Holstein.
A 31-year-old woman from Kiel is out and about with her dog, only wants to enter a shop briefly and ties it up in front of it, the Kiel and Plön police post on Facebook.
If you leave your dog in the car in the heat, you risk a fine.

When she comes out again just a few minutes later, she is shocked to find that her darling has disappeared.
She desperately searches for him.
A passer-by rushes to her aid - he had seen that a very drunk man had taken the dog away.
Luckily he was able to give the exact direction.
A husky was also picked up by the police on the open road.
The dog owner immediately calls the police – and only a short time later two patrol officers arrive to start looking.
And indeed: The officers follow the given direction and discover the "kidnapper" and his dog.
The man willingly gave the trusting four-legged friend to the police, who handed him over to the overjoyed mistress.
The "kidnapper" is now threatened with criminal proceedings for theft.
