(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, June 16 - At least two people died in the shooting that took place outside a church in Vestavia Hillsin Alabama, while a third person was injured.
The suspect has been captured.
"Three people in the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church were hit by bullets," police from VestaviaHills said on their Facebook page.
The shooting took place in front of the church shortly after 6:00 pm local time, during a "potluck", a community meal in which everyone brings a plate.
Police said the attacker entered the church alone and started shooting, hitting three people in all.
The attacker was caught by the agents.
