WhatsApp: Update should fix problem with unread messages

A new update for WhatsApp is on the way and already available for the beta version.
This should fix a problem with unread messages.
Hamm - Just on the go, the smartphone vibrates and only time for a quick look at the display.
If you want to or have to react to news well and only later, you sometimes lose track.
It is not uncommon for contacts to have to wait days or forever for an answer.
The reason: you just forgot.
But that could change with the latest update for Messenger WhatsApp.

Beta users already have access to the 2.22.13.14 update.
Included is an innovation that should make using WhatsApp easier and clearer, as reported

This is explicitly about chats and unread messages.
Accordingly, the function will soon be integrated with which one can search for unread messages in a possibly long chat list, as reported by wa.de.
As a result, you can tap the search function in WhatsApp via the settings.
There you have the option of filtering for unread messages in addition to photos, videos, links, GIFs, documents and audio files.
The update for the beta version of WhatsApp is currently being played out on Android devices.
Then all devices should be supplied with it.
Apparently, iOS users will have to wait a little longer.
Also in development at WhatsApp seems to be the function to edit messages that have already been sent.
If you use autocorrect or if your fingers are too fast, you know the problem.
If a typo was sent or the wrong emoji was used, a message can currently only be completely deleted.
Apparently that will soon be a thing of the past.
