The wife of the British heir to the throne, Prince Charles, Camilla, had her photo taken for the July issue of British »Vogue« shortly before her 75th birthday.

One of the portraits shows the Duchess of Cornwall in a blue evening dress at Clarence House, the official home of Charles, 73, and Camilla in London.

Camilla, who turns 75 on July 17, also gave an extensive interview to »Vogue«.

Among other things, she said that she played »Wordle« with one of her granddaughters every day.

In the online letter game, words with five letters must be guessed in as few attempts as possible.

"She texts me that she made it on the third try and I reply: Sorry, it was only two for me," Camilla told Vogue about exchanging text messages with the granddaughter.

She added, "It feels very good when the game tells you how brilliant you are."

Camilla also talks about getting older in the magazine.

"Honestly, who wants to be 75," she told journalist Giles Hattersley.

When asked if there's any good in being over 70, Camilla replies, "I think you accept that you are who you are."

The Duchess has a thing for fashion, Hattersley writes, she knows what suits her.

Jacqui Meakin, who already trusted Queen Mum, takes care of her wardrobe.

Camilla couldn't do anything with a lot of fuss.

"I lost my artificial fingernails while gardening yesterday," she is quoted as saying.

But she is not immune to wanting to look good.

While preparing for the shoot, the Vogue team and Camilla walked by Wisteria and someone asked her if she had anything that color in her closet.

But an outfit in “menopause mauve”, as the duchess called the mauve blue shade, was an absolute no-go.

A future »Queen Consort«

Camilla, once ridiculed as a "Rottweiler," has long since established herself in British royalty.

Among other things, she is committed to helping victims of domestic and sexual violence.

She is now also receiving recognition from Queen Elizabeth II. A few months ago, the 96-year-old monarch announced her wish for Camilla to bear the title of "Queen Consort" after her death.

A title last worn by Elizabeth's mother, Queen Mum, who died 20 years ago.

The British Queen's husband, Philip, who died last year at the age of 99, remained a "Prince Consort" throughout his life - and did not become a "King".
