Launched on Apple Music this Friday at 6 a.m., after a simple announcement on Instagram a few hours before, the album, dedicated to the artist Virgil Abloh who died last November, includes fourteen unreleased tracks.
Among them, a unique featuring with 21 Savage, on the song
Jimmy Cooks.
The icing on the cake, Drake followed his thunderous announcement of the long clip (9 minutes) of
Falling Back,
the second title of the album.
If the rapper J.Cole considers this album as "
phenomenal
", the fans of the Canadian rapper are far from all showing the same enthusiasm, between mixed reactions and others more severe.
“
Frankly drake it was a waste of time.
I'm not even going to talk too much.
And it's not because it's house I love house
"(sic), reacted a user on Twitter.
"I thought it was a good album to listen to, a summer album, very dancing (...) but that's not what we expect from a Drake album in fact
", supports a user .
For some, the disappointment is final and generates harsher words:
"I finally finished listening to Honestly Nevermind (...).
The meaning, the themes, the characteristics, the pacing, the drama, the emotion...everything sucked from start to finish."
And the taunts are going well:
"Drake dedicated his new album Honesty Nevermind to Virgil Abloh. He must have hated this guy".
