Two weeks after undergoing surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Marc Marquez underwent his first post-operative medical check-up.
The evaluation took place at the Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid with a medical team made up of Dr. Joaquin Sánchez Sotelo, Dr. Samuel Antuña and Dr. Angel Cotorro.
Feedback on initial progress after Marquez's right humerus surgery was positive.
The medical team recommended continuing with controlled exercises for the next four weeks.
The eight-time world champion is expected to have his next medical check-up in four weeks.
"I had a medical examination in Madrid and the doctors are happy - the words of the Spaniard in a note released by Honda - My arm is immobilized and it will be like this for the next few weeks. My feelings so far are positive because I have no pain, this is very important. It allows me to rest and follow the doctors' rules: a healthy diet, drink a lot and try to go out with our dogs because it is important that the body is not inactive. The most important thing about my doctors is that I have to be calm and patient ".
The surgeon who operated on Marquez, Dr. Sanchez Sotelo underlined "a positive evolution of the surgical wound.
