Anyone who was behind these two vans had to have strong nerves: Two parcel service drivers deliberately obstructed traffic on the Autobahns 6, 62 and 63 in the Kaiserslautern area on Saturday afternoon, according to the police.
For no apparent reason, the men repeatedly slowed down other drivers with their vehicles over a distance of 40 kilometers and did not let anyone overtake.
During a subsequent traffic check, one of the two men is said to have insulted and threatened an officer.
In the area of the Landstuhl motorway junction, the van in front was said to have been traveling at just 10 to 20 km/h, so that all other vehicles had to adapt.
According to the information, his colleague drove behind the parcel carrier, who then swerved to the left on the multi-lane A6 towards Mannheim: both delivery vans drove side by side at a slow pace.
In the three-lane area, the two men are said to have also driven in wavy lines to prevent other vehicles from overtaking.
A police officer on the way to his office observed the action of the two men.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against the two.
