Retail continues to turn the price screw.
Dairy products in particular are becoming more expensive.
Aldi is a pioneer – but other markets are likely to follow soon.
Munich – Grocery shopping, no, that's no fun anymore.
A look at the shelves of supermarkets and discounters shows that many everyday products have become really expensive.
As recently as April, some groceries at Aldi were up to 50 percent more expensive.
This mainly affected meat, sausage and butter.
An Aldi spokesman assured the HNA that there would be no empty shelves.
Of course, this does not rule out further price increases.
A small purchase can lead to a big surprise at the checkout.

The Lebensmittelzeitung is now reporting on its website that Aldi has made further “price adjustments” in the past few days.
First and foremost for dairy products, but also for cereals, beverages and meat substitutes, Aldi North and South have raised the prices, in some cases significantly.
Price shock in retail: quark products are up to 68 percent more expensive
According to the Lebensmittelzeitung, the strongest price increase is for quark products.
For example, quark with 40 percent fat and quark cream with chocolate have each increased in price from 59 to 99 cents.
An increase of around 68 percent.
But prices for fruit and herb quark, tzatziki and quark with 20 percent fat have also risen by more than 50 percent.
The discounter justifies the increases with increased supplier prices in almost all product groups.
Experts are concerned and predict: "The worst is yet to come for consumers".
Only a short time ago, the German Farmers' Association also warned that the tense situation on the agricultural markets would probably continue for several months.
The reason for this is the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.

Price shock in the food trade: Aldi sets the pace when it comes to prices
Industry experts know that it usually only takes a few days for all of the competition, such as Lidl, Rewe, Penny, Netto and Edeka, to follow suit and adjust prices.
Some retail chains are now trying to curb the price increase and Edeka boss Markus Mosa appealed to the big brand manufacturers not to overdo the price increases.
After all, price increases should not be imposed on consumers alone, but should be distributed along the entire value chain.
