"Sanremo? My adventure at the Festival is over. Dead and buried forever": Fiorello's only half-serious moment in the whirlwind of jokes and sketches, targeting everyone, from Eros Ramazzotti to Fiorella Mannoia, who also animate the backstage of 'Gigi One like you is the Rai1 show that celebrates the thirty-year career of Gigi D'Alessio, live from Naples from Piazza del Plebiscito.
"Amadeus is my favorite comedian," says Fiorello, breaking into his friend's dressing room as he changes his shoes before taking the stage.
It is the moment of the reunion of the Amarello, the couple who animated Sanremo, on several occasions, for three consecutive years, also going through the most difficult historical moment, with the pandemic and the deserted Ariston.
While Amadeus prepares to match Pippo Baudo and Mike Bongiorno with two other Festivals, reaching five consecutive editions, with a contract already signed, Fiorello is always impregnable and unpredictable.
"The artistic director of Sanremo was given a convertible dressing room, the smallest of all! Ama is humble. We do not use air conditioning, there is none, he must die here", jokes the showman while his friend and accomplice laughs.
"My dressing room got flooded," says the host, referring to the afternoon downpour that hampered rehearsals for the show.
"Shall we close the door?" Asks Niccolò Presta, trying to protect the privacy of Amadeus, the artist of the stable he manages with his father Lucio.
"But no!" Replies Fiorello, throwing the door open again amid the laughter of those present, starting with his wife Susanna.
"Let's put on a little show because there is sadness. People need it", Fiorello concludes.
