reports, the new WhatsApp icon - a small ring with a check mark - shows when the last message in a chat was a reaction to a status.
This should make it clear at first glance what a message refers to.
So you can see whether it's about your own status message or not, without having to open the chat.

WhatsApp: New function is said to be still in development
With the new function, users should immediately understand what a recipient refers to.
The function is currently still under development and is only available for beta testers.
It is not yet clear whether and when it will be implemented for all users,

The icon is to be provided for IOS and Android.
