Let's start with an interesting fact: an agenda is important to you, the mothers, no less important than it is to your little ones.

It therefore allows you to be more organized within what you have planned, more available and emotionally available to children as well as more confident and less stressed.

In fact, the agenda serves as an anchor and allows both you and the children to know what is expected at any moment of the day.

Still, we came to talk about children, so

Dana Lev

, an early childhood parent facilitator, explains the main benefits of building an agenda for them:

● Allows you to coordinate expectations and prepare in front of the children.

● Gives a clear and patterned framework that creates a sequence of events and activities, and thus there is less chance of "glitches" and objections on the part of the children.

● Creates more cooperation and motivation on the part of the children.

● It allows division into different activities during the week and paying attention to work on things you want to strengthen and improve in the children.

● Strengthens the children's learning of what an agenda is and there is a kind of preparation for the frameworks and especially the school.

Is it advisable to start with an agenda from birth?

In general yes, but until the age of four months you can not expect real habits.

In any case, it is recommended that you adapt to this and your baby a kind of relatively regular routine in terms of the order of actions, for example: feeding, play time, diaper change, sleep and time of day for an outing.

Of course one should work according to the signs of the baby’s body language and address the need according to early signs (fatigue, hunger), but do try to converge slowly to such a routine.

Later, as the baby grows, the agenda becomes more important, especially before bedtime.

And what about toddlers?

With toddlers the importance of an agenda takes on more weight.

They are already able to understand general sense of time (morning, noon, evening and weekdays) and also have an understanding of sequence of events and chronological order.

This will therefore also allow them to be taught to wait patiently for various events, for example: "In two days we can go and meet a friend from kindergarten."

Also, it is certainly possible to involve them in the preparation of the agenda and weekly planning, which will create a nice family activity and also increase the chance of cooperation.

You can let them suggest what activities and things they would like to do this week and actually build a table together and put things in it.

In conclusion, a weekly agenda and planning create a clear and structured framework for you and the children, which combines both daily routine activities - brushing teeth, showering, eating, sleeping, etc. and alternating activities - games, creative activities, classes, etc.

How do you create a successful agenda when they are already toddlers?

Balance things out and give the kids a sense of freedom within the framework and see what kind of cooperation you get.

The Jama app was established with the aim of addressing mothers of babies from birth to age three, and centralizing for them content, activities, tips from experts and videos that will accompany them throughout this challenging period.

All the content in the app "grows" together with the baby and is precisely adapted to its developmental stages, so that the mothers receive only what is relevant to them and interests them at any given moment.

The Jama app is the place for mothers in Israel to meet and get to know other mothers around them, and create new and exciting friendships in the fascinating journey.
