 A truffle dinner for the homeless in Milan: this is what was organized on 23 June by the National Association of Italian Truffles in collaboration with Mutuo Soccorso Milano, a company that takes care of bringing hot meals every week to those who live on the edge of the metropolis.



The charity initiative, which provides for the distribution of a first course, a second course and a side dish based on fresh truffles starting at 6.00 pm, is carried out on the occasion of the first birthday party of the Truffle Market app, an application for buying and selling of Italian truffles without intermediaries.

Chef Nicola Ferrelli will prepare the dishes for the homeless together with the president of the National Association of Italian Truffles (Asso Tartufai) Riccardo Germani.

"This initiative - he adds - serves to give visibility to the world of truffles and in particular to the Italian one. While waiting for the sector to be regulated, we make concrete proposals to innovate the sector. With Truffle Market we give truffle and safety to the sector, we enhance the tartufai, coming into direct contact with consumers, avoiding that truffles from other countries can be sold or eaten as Italians ".
