A dispute among children in Dortmund has caused violent conflict among families and a significant crowd.
According to police, emergency services counted about 100 people on the edge of a city square during Friday night's incident, eight to ten of whom actively participated in a brawl.
The rest of those present were "onlookers".
According to the police, bottles and sticks were also used as weapons during the physical altercation between members of the two families.
However, there were no injuries.
The situation calmed down quickly overall, the officials reported.
The two parties to the dispute were separated and numerous dismissals were issued.
