Today, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced 12 scholarships for a bachelor’s degree in human medicine from the Republic of Cuba and 5 scholarships for postgraduate studies “Master’s and PhD” in the specializations available there for Syrian students holding a bachelor’s degree in human medicine only for the academic year 2022 -2023.
In its announcement, which SANA received a copy of, the ministry clarified the conditions for applying for these scholarships from holders of the general secondary certificate in its scientific branch exclusively, the 2021 session, and the required documents, with an emphasis that the final acceptance of students is exclusively linked to the approval of the concerned authority in the Republic of Cuba.
According to the announcement, the requests of those who wish will be processed and candidates will be selected according to the percentage rate in the university degree for master's candidates and on the basis of the percentage rate in the university degree, to which three degrees will be added for those with a master's degree and doctoral candidates.
The ministry pointed out that the grants include an exemption from tuition fees, university housing, meals, a Spanish language course and a free visa provided by the Cuban Embassy in Damascus.
According to the announcement, submission of applications to the Directorate of Cultural Relations in the Ministry begins from today until Monday 7-18-2022.
Students applying for these scholarships have the right to retrieve their identification documents after the results are issued in the event that their name is not mentioned among the original successful candidates and the reserve.
