It's a nightmare scenario, straight out of a horror movie: Countless huge, hairy poisonous spiders invade a small village in northern India.

The aggressive animals reportedly bite "at least twelve residents."

Two people are said to have died as a result.

The worldwide media speak of an "unknown species" that resembles a "tarantula" that may soon reach Germany.

The large poisonous hairy spider attack in an Indian village in the state of Assam happened ten years ago.

And could also be repeated elsewhere due to climate change, as scientists emphasize.

However, the species sold worldwide as an "unknown death spider" by the media is not guaranteed to be deadly.

AND: It shouldn't even be mentioned in the list of the five most dangerous spiders in the world.

But how did this horror report about a possible tarantula species come about?

This means that the animals that are mainly found in this area are the eight-legged spiders, known in German as tiger or ornamental tarantulas because of their wonderful coloring.

And these have a far stronger poison.

BUT: Their subfamily

is considered to be slightly aggressive, but cannot be used for such an Indian invasion as the most poisonous spider in the world is able to create in Australia again and again.

Then what kind of tarantula is it?

And how does a possible mixing of species come about?

According to numerous media reports, the aggressive tarantulas were black.
