One cornea was implanted in a 55-year-old woman, Mitra Yasharim, from Rishon Lezion, who also had a kidney transplant 25 years ago and says that she gave birth to two daughters after the kidney transplant.

Now, after the corneal transplant, she is back in sight and thanks from the bottom of her heart to the family.

The second cornea was implanted in a 75-year-old woman, Lyubov Kostarkion, who thanked the family for giving her a light eye.

The transplants were performed at the Ichilov and Soroka hospitals.
