Some passengers complained about the two-hour wait when the luggage was returned, while others were left with no luggage at all and had to fly without the luggage.
Passengers injured in the crash at the UK's largest airport have uploaded tweets and photos to Twitter to express their distress.
One complained that he had to wait several hours for suitcases that never showed up, while another tweeted that there were "two-hour delays", adding "Welcome to the UK".

Heathrow spokesman: "Sorry there were disturbances to passengers"
A Heathrow spokesman apologized for the disturbance and said the fault had been rectified on Friday.
He said airport crews are working around the clock to unite passengers with their belongings "as soon as possible".
"We've sorry there were disruptions to passenger flights," he said Friday.
The luggage malfunction is the latest in a series of travel disruptions at UK airports, dealing with a busy summer season with heavy staff shortages, leading to hundreds of flights canceled.
Just last night (Saturday) we announced here that thousands of flights will be canceled in Europe due to the same shortage, including at Gatwick Airport in London and Schiphol in Amsterdam, where they limited the number of passengers to 70,000 per day.
German airline Lufthansa has also announced it will cancel hundreds of flights in July.
The aviation industry has been accused of failing to anticipate demand after two years of disruption during the corona plague.
Several British travel experts have blamed Brexit (the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the EU), saying it has led to a shortage of EU workers in the UK, although this claim has been criticized by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's ministers.
