They showed signs of malnutrition, dehydration, parasites and even hypothermia due to lack of feathers.
But after months of treatment, these Argentine penguins were saved.
“The possible cause of these pathologies could be climate change, food shortage and environmental pollution,” said Mundo Marino technical director Juan Pablo Loureiro.
Mundo Marino veterinarians and technicians helped restore the birds to health at their center in the coastal town of San Clemente del Tuyu.
