A forest fire has broken out again in a short space of time near the town of Hainburg in Hesse.
An area of about 5000 square meters was in flames on Sunday afternoon.
It was the fourth fire in the area this weekend that the fire department had to fight.
"We have evidence that it is arson," said a police spokesman.
On Friday, the first fire was reported from a forest in the district of Hainburg's Hainstadt district.
Police suspect the fire was set intentionally.
Six other fires had been fought in the forest since March.
In the last of these cases, plant waste stored there burned at night at the Seligenstadt building yard.
Again, police say it's unlikely the fire was self-igniting.
There are only a few kilometers between the fire sites.
Early on Saturday morning - this time again in Hainstadt - a lumber store in a garden area caught fire.
According to the police, the wood stored there and the shelter burned down completely.
Several trees also caught fire.
