EXCLUSIVE. On the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, the new Minister of Culture speaks for the first time, a month after her nomination.


On her work table, a book of poems by Andrée Chedid with a dedication, the novel “Les Impatientes” by the Cameroonian feminist activist Djaïli Amadou Amal and a water bottle bearing the inscription “pass culture”.

Rima Abdul-Malak, 43, receives us this Monday in her office on rue de Valois, whose windows regularly vibrate to the sound of rehearsals for the concert given in the courtyard of the ministry for the Fête de la Musique on Tuesday.
