Six years after 'Songs on the corner', Luigi Mariano releases on Friday 24 June his third unreleased album, 'Acid World' (debut), containing ten songs, written for the most part in the last five years.
Among the pearls of the tracklist, full of captivating melodies and profound content, there is also a duet with Tony Bungaro on the notes of the classic and nostalgic ballad, 'Sotto sale'.
With his style always poised between intimate reflections and a broader gaze, sometimes ironic, other disenchanted, aimed at everyday life, the singer-songwriter from Salento, Roman by adoption, traces a path that crosses family relationships (The perfect son), social (Acid world, Grammar errors, Dear routine), sentimental (Little waltz in blue, Under salt), as well as some individual conditions that remain strongly in tension, only to find a way out.
At the end of the journey, the apparent disconnect between the title of the album and the more ironic image of the cover suggests that the acidity of the world is, after all, relative: if desired, it can also be accompanied, not by threatening aggression of a muriatic acid but with the tasty flavor of a yogurt.
The album is dedicated to Pierre Ruiz (who died suddenly two years ago), a dear friend of Luigi and founder of the Esordisco label, whose moral and material heritage has now been taken over by his wife Paola Cimino Ruiz and his son Antoine.
The pre-production of the album was handled by Primiano Di Biase.
The artistic production, as for the previous cd, has been entrusted to Alberto Lombardi.
In addition to participating in important radio and television broadcasts, such as Edicola Fiore with Fiorello, Luigi Mariano can also boast about ten prestigious awards dedicated to author music, including the Ciampi 2013, Bindi 2011, Lunezia 2016 and the Daolio city award. of Sulmona 2010.
