10,202 new verifications were discovered in tests yesterday, a record number since the beginning of May • Ministry of Health discounted hospitalization in "Corona complexes" in wards with unverified, PCR test will be performed on all hospital islands and antigen for geriatric patients before discharge home

The Ministry of Health this morning (Monday) issued a series of guidelines to hospitals, due to the increase in severe morbidity in Corona.

According to a report by the Ministry of Health this morning, 10,202 new carriers were identified in Israel yesterday, which is 38.95 percent positive out of 29,681 new tests.

This is a record number for this wave - there has not been such a number of carriers since May 5 this year.

The number of patients currently active is 54,144, and the infection rate is 1.32.

The number of serious patients is 168 - a slight decrease from the number of patients yesterday, which stood at 174 patients.

Following the dramatic increase in morbidity, the Ministry of Health has issued several guidelines: The ministry has instructed to hospitalize Corona patients in isolation conditions that could be a “Corona compound” in a mixed ward where they are also unverified.

However, with respect to hospitalization, there is still no need to open new wards, and patients in Corona will be hospitalized in existing wards in separate areas.

However, as soon as the number of patients in the ward reaches 80 percent, it will be possible to independently open new wards without the need for the approval of the Ministry of Health.

In addition, due to the increase in morbidity, the ministry instructs to perform corona examinations for all patients who are to be hospitalized electively, or to perform a special examination for a patient who is undergoing an invasive procedure.

Also, before bringing patients from the emergency room to the wards, a PCR test should be performed, and a coronary antigen test should be performed on geriatric patients before they are discharged home from their wards.

In addition, staff must be refreshed with all corona instructions to prepare them for the possibility of a powerful sixth-wave outbreak in hospitals.
