How to properly wash strawberries
Just fill a
large enough
bowl with water .
Then put the strawberries in and wash them gently in this way.
You can then eat the fruit, process it further or store it in the refrigerator.
Strawberries keep refrigerated
for about two to three days
.
However, if you do not intend to eat the strawberries right away, it is advisable
not to wash them immediately
.
This is because they suck up the water, which also makes them lazy faster in the fridge.
Freezing the fruit will keep it longer, but inevitably it will become very mushy after thawing.
Frozen strawberries are best used for fresh smoothies.
