Fortnite: Most popular weapon is coming back - but not as desired

Fans had to wait a long time, now the SCAR is back in Fortnite with update 21.10.

However, the new debut of the rifle does not turn out according to the fans' wishes.

Cary, North Carolina – In Fortnite, the selection of weapons on the map changes every hour.

Epic Games' Battle Royale throws countless new guns at its fans' feet in practically every update and every season - but a big favorite of the community has been missing for a long time.

With update 21.10 this is over.

The SCAR, by far the most popular assault rifle in the game, is making a return.

As reported by IPPEN.MEDIA ingame.de, the return of the SCAR to Fortnite is not what most fans would have liked.

Where does the information come from?

Shortly after Epic Games released the current update 21.10 for Fortnite, dataminers and insiders rushed to the new game files.

This included Fortnite Intel on Twitter.

The account is one of the better known within the community when it comes to the latest Fortnite news.

Fortnite Intel reported this morning on June 21, 2022 that the SCAR would appear to be returning to the game in a new form.

Why is the SCAR so popular?

The SCAR has been one of the community's all-time favorite weapons since the early days of Fortnite.

Simply put, the SCAR is arguably the most powerful assault rifle option in the game.

At around 192 damage per second and a rate of fire of 5.5 per second, it shreds pretty much everything that isn't on the tree by three.

In addition, it has a very unique look among all Fortnite weapons - so unique in fact that it has its own NERF model.

How does the SCAR return?

In Update 10/21, the SCAR returns in a slightly modified form.

Instead of the usual sandy beige look, the assault rifle appears in a matte black.

That should set alarm bells ringing for some fans.

In fact, the SCAR is a very specific weapon, namely the Nocturno.

And unfortunately it comes with a big catch.

The Nocturno will probably not return to Battle Royale mode in the form it is currently found in Fortnite.

Instead, the modification of the SCAR remains exclusively in "Save the World" mode, i.e. in Fortnite coop.

The much more popular Fortnite Battle Royale will probably have to do without the SCAR for the time being.

Could the SCAR also come to Battle Royale?

It is still questionable whether the SCAR will find its way into the Fortnite Battle Royale again.

In any case, the fact that the model of the weapon is apparently again included in the game files is slightly positive, and Epic Games has recently been regularly taking changing weapons out of the "vault" and bringing them back into the game for a limited time.

Most recently, the Recon Scanner and Railgun came back to Fortnite.

However, any assumption in this direction is pure speculation.

The Nocturno and the SCAR from the Battle Royale are quite different from each other, and the fact that one weapon comes into play does not necessarily mean the same for the other weapon.

Hardly any weapon is as popular with fans as the SCAR.

She's bound to return sooner or later.
