Diego Godin will play in Argentina.
The Uruguayan central defender, who in Italy wore the shirts of Inter and Cagliari, will play for Velez Sarsfield, the team from Liniers, a suburb of Buenos Aires.
It was the same club that announced the engagement of Godin, 36, with a statement that appeared on the official online website.
Velez specified that Godin has signed a contract that binds him until December 2023.
