More net salary, fuel discount or one-time bonus for energy - these are some of the federal government's measures as part of the 2022 energy package. But what do you get from it?

The federal government's 2022 relief package is intended to support citizens.

The aim is for everyone to have more money in their wallets.

But it could take a while before the relief is felt by everyone.

Meanwhile, a new relief package for this year is already being discussed.

CSU party leader Markus Söder calls for an energy flat rate of 300 euros for pensioners.

These

measures

were decided in the 2022 energy package:

  • Public transport:

Three times 9 euros for 90 days – one ticket for local public transport.

  • One- time payment:

Welfare recipients should receive a surcharge of 100 euros.

  • Fuel price brake

    :

Drivers should pay less – there should be a tax deduction of around 35 cents for petrol engines, and a good 17 cents for diesel.

  • Energy price flat rate:

All employees who pay income tax should receive a surcharge of 300 euros gross.

  • Child bonus:

For families, a one-off supplement of 100 euros is to be paid out for each child.

According to calculations by the IW, low-income families in particular should benefit from the federal government’s 2022 energy package.

How much money ends up in your wallet?

All employees who are sorted into tax brackets 1 to 5 should

benefit from the

300 euros gross energy flat rate of the energy package.

However, the full amount is only available to employees whose taxable income is below the

basic

tax allowance of EUR 10,000.

This is the result of calculations by the Association of Taxpayers.

If you follow this approach, a married employee with a child, tax class 4 and an annual salary of 45,000 euros would receive an energy price flat rate of 216.33 euros.

If the annual salary were 15,000 euros, the same employee would receive 248.83 euros.

These payments should be in the citizens' accounts in September with the employer's salary.

This is reported

by Kreiszeitung.de.

According to

Focus

, one-off payments for energy and the child bonus have the greatest effect on citizens.

This

is what growney

asset managers found out for the portal.

Families with children in particular should therefore benefit from the energy package.

Relief package 2022: Who benefits most in general?

The relief is intended to help low-income families in particular.

This is the result of calculations by the German Economic Institute (IW) for

Welt am Sonntag

.

This includes families with a gross annual salary of 35,000 euros.

If this family has two children, then they receive the following payments: per adult 300 euros

energy flat rate

, per child 100 euros

children's bonus

, after deducting taxes, 657 euros remain.

The calculations assume that none of the adults drive to work.

Relief package 2022: who will get nothing?

Anyone who is not employed does not receive a 300 euro energy flat rate.

This applies above all to pensioners and students.

In politics, however, there are efforts to change this with the demand from Markus Söder (CSU).

However, what will become of it is not yet clear.
