(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, June 21 - The Supreme Court has upheld the appeal against the Maine law that excludes religious schools from the program that pays private schools for students who live in remote areas where there are no public schools.

The applicants had invoked religious discrimination.

It is therefore a decision that places the wise on the side of religious freedoms, breaking down the wall between state and religion.
