A victim of the abuses committed by the
pedophile priest, Peter H,
filed a complaint against the pope emeritus Joseph Ratzinger.
Correctiv, die Zeit and Beyrische Rundfunk report it.
Benedict XVI "was aware of the situation and at least took lightly into consideration that this priest could repeat his crimes", reads the complaint.
The author of the complaint, which affects Ratzinger and other high representatives of the Church, accuses the former pontiff of the fact that, in the 80s, as archbishop, he had welcomed Peter H. in his diocese of Munich and Freising, despite the abuses previously committed by the pedophile priest.
And in Bavaria, the priest continued to commit it.
The crimes are largely prescribed, but the victim's lawyer who filed a complaint and filed a civil action, filed an action to obtain a sentence of guilt from the church.
If the court recognizes the priest's crimes, "the church could be forced to pay him damages," the German media wrote.
The lawsuit was filed with the Traunstein regional court.
