(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 22 - "On the national state of emergency we are discussing with the Civil Protection, I think that on this, together with Curcio we will arrive at a solution in which they identify in a timely manner the criteria for the declaration of the state of emergency and above all the interventions that can be made. There is total harmony between the regional conference and civil protection ".
This was stated by the president of Friuli VeneziaGiulia and of the Conference of Regions, Massimiliano Fedriga at the end of the meeting with the head of Civil Protection, Fabrizio Curcio on the drought emergency.
"We are dealing with the Civil Protection, we started today, but we will also make a comparison with the government", he added.
According to Fedriga there are "two intervention factors: the contingent emergency situation, that is to say what measures to implement and we are coordinating to understand the most useful ones, including, for example, also the release of the water from the basins which can be fundamental to address both the main theme of water for civil use and as regards agriculture. We need interventions because for the next few years we expect to find ourselves often and unfortunately in situations like these ".
