(ANSA-AFP) - ROME, JUN 22 - At least 300 deaths were caused in Afghanistan by the violent earthquake that struck the south-east of the country last night, on the border with Pakistan: the Afghan supreme leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada, announced this.
So far the injured, he added, are more than 500 and "hundreds of houses have been destroyed".
The death toll is set to rise, Akhundzada stressed.
