   According to the prosecutor, Francesco Ciconte certainly could not "abandon the apartment, leaving his mother at the mercy of his armed brother and determined to attack his family", as he "had more time threatened", because he insistently asked for more money to buy cocaine.

    The woman, according to the documents, "made a story of the facts substantially compatible" with that of her son Francesco and with what emerged from the scientific and medical-legal investigations.

Already the investigating judge, releasing the 43-year-old after his arrest and putting him under house arrest, had already spoken of a "tragic family context in which fratricide was consummated".
