This will not change anything for you.”

Natalie Amiri, who reported on the conditions after the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in her “Afghanistan Diary” last year, has now published a book.

She writes in detail and empathetically about people's fears and the reasons that led to renewed violence and people fleeing.

Natalie Amiri "Afghanistan - Invincible Loser": About the book

With her book "Afghanistan - Invincible Loser" Natalie Amiri has created a contemporary testimony that leaves you speechless.

She precisely tells the emotional state of Afghan women and the failure of Western politics.

What does the return of the Taliban mean for the Afghan people?

What future do the country's women see?

100 days after taking power, SPIEGEL bestselling author Natalie Amiri travels to Afghanistan.

With her book, she gives Afghans a voice.

The book is not easy reading. However, if you want to deal with the history of Afghanistan, you cannot ignore Natalie Amiri's report.

Broken down and written in a way that is easy to understand, the journalist explains what has happened since August 15, 2021 and how it could have happened.

Natalie Amiri "Afghanistan - Invincible Loser": My conclusion

I read a lot, including a lot of non-fiction, but this book sent me on an emotional roller coaster.

I vacillated between sadness and anger and between respect and disgust.

I had to vent on Twitter and found out that Natalie Amiri felt the same way while writing the book.

Her “Afghanistan Diary” already took me emotionally.

A lot of things weren't clear to me beforehand.

I learned a lot from this book and I highly recommend it.

I can reassure anyone who is concerned that it is complicated and perhaps difficult to write for beginners.

Natalie Amiri uses an understandable language and thus gets her message across clearly.
