While celebrating, a woman on the island of Rügen fell twelve meters from the window of an apartment - and sustained serious injuries.
The 41-year-old fell on Tuesday evening from the third floor of an apartment building in the Dranske community, the police said.
According to witnesses, she drank large amounts of alcohol during the celebration and danced on the window sill.
Finally she lost her footing and fell onto a meadow under the window.
The woman was said to be responsive after the fall and was taken to a clinic by helicopter.
She suffered serious injuries to her chest and pelvis that were not life-threatening.
