One person died and another was injured after a man opened fire on a crowded commuter train in San Francisco.
Abc news reports it.
The police are hunting the killer.
The shooting took place at the Castro stop, the famous district of the Californian city where the parade for LGBTQ + rights will take place on Sunday, even if the police have so far ruled out that it is an intimidating action against the community.
The shooting took place around 10am local time (7pm in Italy), police spokeswoman Kathryn Winters explained.
The killer got off the train at the Castro station and fled.
"I want to assure the LGBTQ + community that this incident does not seem to have any connection with Pride on Sunday."
It is still unclear whether the killer and the victim knew each other.
At the moment the metropolitan train service has been suspended.
